The stage is set; all the extra chairs have been collected and the decorations will be going up soon. The invitations have all been extended and the much talked about show at the Babonneau Secondary School is well on its way but before we get into that let’s talk about the atmosphere. Everyone knows whenever there are activities going on at a school the students as well as the teachers all feel that buzz of excitement. Well, Babonneau Secondary is no exception; in fact the level of excitement is even greater. Anticipation is rife at the Babonneau Secondary School as they are celebrating their tenth anniversary and they are doing it in a big way.

Under the theme Decade of Success-A Foundation For the Future, the school is host a number of different activities including an awards evening, barbecue, games night, calypso competition, church service and parade and the highlight which each student is looking forward to, the Mr. and Miss Babonneau Secondary School 2009 Pageant. A total of eight students from forms one to four will participate in the event slated for Monday May 25th at the Babonneau Multi-Purpose Centre.
According to organizers of the event the pageant is just one of the list of activities on the year long celebrations the school will be hosting to showcase their students’ talents. Vying for the prestigious honour of being crowned Mr. and Miss Babonneau Secondary are Lishan Alexander and Titus Albertie (Form One), Jenny Alexander and Akeem Polius (Form Two), Kimberly Lionel and Nervil Anthony (Form 3) and Durantu Francis and Dion Caroo (Form Four).
