EMRAND’S HOMECOMING

After five months of extensive touring in the USA and Canada, Emrand Henry is back in St. Lucia for the 2010 Homecoming. He has been invited by the Government of St. Lucia to perform at the Grand Charity Event at Pigeon Island National Landmark on Friday July 30th.
After launching his new CD Line Up Di Troops Dem in the USA on June 1st, 2010 he finds it necessary to take the opportunity to launch this CD here in his homeland St. Lucia for Homecoming 2010.
This latest album was done in Miami, Florida and produced by Jamaican born Stephen Murphy of Murphy Producitons. On this long awaited album, Emrand collaborates with three popular Jamaican Gospel Artistes – St. Matthew, Ordinary and Reality. The CD is becoming quickly known as the St. Lucia – Jamaica connection.

Emrand’s style is certainly unique and joining with Murphy who is a young and talented producer, has given a freshness to his melodies and lyrics. The artistes that he has collaborated with in this new production have the true Dancehall Gospel flavor which was needed to make this CD connect to the youth, as it deals lyrically with real life situations they face.
Emrand has done St. Lucia proud in his travels and was the recipient of two highly outstanding awards in New York in June, 2010. The first award was on June 5th, from The City Council of New York City for outstanding lifetime of good citizenry through good personal achievement in his professional life of music. On June 6th, he received a second award from the Hopeton Lewis Caribbean Gospel Music Awards 2010 for his outstanding work in Gospel Music.
Whilst in New York, he also released a great new single titled “Blue, White, Black and Yellow” produced by St. Lucian Christopher Neil of Big as Life Studio in New Jersey which has been climbing the charts world wide.
