Diaries
Of A Dream Queen
I’m
suffering temporarily with a condition called
“writers block.” It’s basically
where the writer “loses the ability
to produce work.” I guess I’m
exaggerating when I say I have writer’s
block, but honestly this is what it feels
like. I absolutely love writing. I successfully
attained a distinction in the English Language
so whenever I feel like I don’t give
my best, it sucks! Guess many of us feel that
way at times. To be honest when I wrote the
subject as a private candidate, I did not
get a distinction I got a three! I was like
“Me?? Three!! Uh uh! NOOO WAY! These
people MUST BE TRIPPING!” I figured
it was a HUGE MISTAKE and it must be IMMEDIATELY
CORRECTED. ‘Lol’. (Of course that
was just the drama queen in me.) I was so
surprised! I mean I topped the English class
almost every time and if not I’d rank
in the top three and this paper is saying
I got a “three??” Pfft! Lol.
Deep
in my heart, I knew I hardly studied, so I
had no one to blame but myself. My mom constantly
reminded me that even if I’m good, that
does not mean I should not practice but I
had my head up in the clouds because I thought
I was “Mrs. Perfect” and I MOST
DEFINITELY WOULD GAIN A DISTINCTION and there
was NO QUESTIONING it! Of course when I got
my big, fat three I cried. (From this day
fourth, I hate anything with the number 3!)
Haha. Big joke but honestly I just decided
that I will hate the number 3. ‘Lol’.
‘Smh’. Number 1 should be my number!
#nowthatswhatsup! When my teacher asked me
what grade I got, I bent my head in shame
and told her and she was pretty upset. Of
course I couldn’t blame her. I had no
one to blame but myself. To bring this story
to an end let’s just say I pulled my
socks up; like all the way up and I did get
my distinction. When I walked out of the room
this time I knew I got it, because that descriptive
story thing, I nailed that along with everything
else.

Man
I won’t be surprised if they told me
my story was in one of these CXC books. ‘Lol’.
(I’m serious though!) So when people
say January CXC is easier or the other way
round, that really isn’t true. If you
apply yourself, you work extra hard, you study,
you practice! You won’t have a problem
when you write CXC really. Of course, there
WILL BE challenging questions/sums, even the
brightest kid struggles with certain stuff,
but hey if you studied you know that one way
or the other you’re going to pass that
test because you studied! So the message I’m
leaving with you this weekend is “practice
makes perfect.” Whoever came up with
that was quite right!
I
actually feel like this is the very first
time I feel like I’m writing in my diary,
ever since I started “Diaries of a Dream
Queen.” So yes, I’ve shared yet
another chapter of my life with you and I’m
looking forward to sharing more. Hope you
take into consideration the message I left
with you! Till then, see you in Vegas! (Just
a phrase I like to use. It may not make sense
really, but it’s my thing. We all have
that one phrase in particular we like to use.)
Well I’m off now! Bye!!
