They’re SOFYRIE (say so firey) Part One
By Kendell “Scady” Eugene

We couldn’t have ended the year without featuring some of the hottest ladies on the planet! Readers meet the Sofyerie ladies of Sofyerie Promotions.

Sofyerie Promotions is headed by Consuelo Dupal and consist of twenty Lovely Ladies. The group was established in May of 2010 with the goal of providing beautiful, intelligent and vibrant young ladies to assist with the marketing and advertising of products and services in St. Lucia. SoFyerie Promotions cater to a huge range of promotional and modeling services including photographic models, product sampling and distribution staff, product launches, costume promotions, trade show staff, corporate hostesses, fashion parade models, dancers, TV Extras, bikini models, in-store demonstration staff, and promotional uniform creation. We pride ourselves at being the best at what we do and go above and beyond to please and satisfy.

Have you guys worked out of Saint Lucia?
No, but it is an aspiration of Sofyerie Promotions to penetrate wider markets. We are definitely making our mark on St. Lucia, and I don’t believe it will be too long before we are able to work regionally and or internationally. That would be a major accomplishment; I am looking forward to that possibility. (Laugh)

What is the selection process for joining your agency?
Each promotional model/team member is selected for their unique look, vibrant personality, strong work ethic, and of course a good level of intelligence, all of which is considered to be fundamental to achieving marketing success in each promotional assignment.

Is it stressful running your own business? Tell us some of the challenges you face.
I wouldn’t necessarily say it is stressful however I do have days that can be challenging; I usually face adversity as it relates to my age. Starting my business a year ago at the age of 19, I found that sometimes people wouldn’t want to take me seriously; I experienced challenges with interviews once my age was revealed. This of course should never be a reason to doubt someone’s capabilities however it happens very often and so recently I stopped disclosing my age when confirming business deals but after recently graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, I have definitely gained more confidence, further proof that I can handle the business and manage the team effectively.

We can't help but notice that in you agency it's only ladies and no guys, are men afraid to join or are you just happy working with women?

Oh no……..
Sorry ya’ll, but we have to cut that sizzling interview short. This one is way to hotttt for one issue! Find out what Consuelo had to say about men and her group, challenges and more! See ya’ll next year.
