That
was mad! That was mad! That was too mad and
if you were not there to see that, or either
part of it I’m telling you “you
missed that!!!” Like Scady said “I
in dat! I in dat! I not missing dat!”
Okay, let’s get into business. A lot
people complained about the venue and made
comments like “How is Point Seraphin
uh? If was Marchand or Samaan’s Park
again!” Well guys, those who were there,
they enjoyed it to the fullest! They could
not be bothered about the venue. In the beginning,
it was lacking flavour but later on in the
evening onwards, the madness started! The
host was perfect. You guys already know Izi
Hall is the man for the job and on Sunday
he was great!
An
individual from the crowd (girl) who volunteered
to attempt to answer the questions the host
was asking, in order to receive a free Blackberry
Handset (compliments Digicel), was ecstatic
after she answered correctly and was the winner
of the Blackberry. I was so jealous. Seriously
I’m telling you I was standing there
with my blackberry pearl (rolling eyes) like
seriously? Do they even make those again?
I was ready to cry a puddle of tears. The
questions were so easy! Host: “Who is
the bigger better network?” Girl: “Digicel!”
Host: “Who gives the best deals….”
Girl: “Digicel!” and so fourth.
Anyway
let us talk about the costumes, they were
smoking hot! I would really like to congratulate
the bands who made a great effort and say
hats off to them including: Mas Action, La
Musaique, Royalties Extreme, Exotic and all
the other bands. I must say Mas Action did
a great job this year! These costumes are
hot! There’s a section called “Red
Cross” and it is really appealing. The
models rocked the costumes and the colours
were enchanting and stunning!

Now
people the band everybody was talking about;”
(Royalties Extreme!) have you seen the section
called money”? It’s on fire! That
isn’t just my opinion, ask Tom and Harry
and they will tell you the same thing, don’t
think because its Scady’s band I’m
“bigging it up”. I’m giving
jack his jacket and I must commend Scady and
his team because the costumes are really amazing
and genuinely defines carnival. The costumes
are really good. I just had to give you all
the details because these bands really stood
out. The rest of the bands did a great job
too; their display of designs left the crowd
in awe.
Side
attractions included steel pan and really,
I must admit that I’m not that much
of a fan when it comes to steel pan but Digicel
Pan Time just might change that. Their performance
was “electrifying!” They did a
great job and it paid off because they must
have been rehearsing for hours upon hours.
If you heard the hot soca riddim coming down
on the steel pan! Now let me tell you boys
and girls, men and women…. That night,
all the artists came out and gave good performances
including Teddyson, Pringles and H.P. who
did a crowd pleasing performance. H.P. really
had the crowd following instructions to his
hot new soca single “Dance Doggy”
Many
individuals wanted to see performances from
other hot soca artistes like Ricky T who has
catchy lines in one of his new songs “Ricky
Ticky Ticky Ticky Ticky…” Crocodile
with the famous “Ready Mix, Already
Fix” (Clap your hands gyal..Mmm mmmm
mmm mmm) Scady “Put me out” and
Ambi “Matay You and Mongster with the
hit single “Glo Koko”.
