SHEM
MELUCE
“OUT OF THE SHADOWS,”
Following
in the footsteps of Taylor Swift, Susan Boyle
and the late Micheal Jackson, Shem isn’t
allowing the recent decline in sales put a
stop to his dreams. The aforementioned artistes
all released albums last year which did remarkably
well on the charts. Today St. Lucian born
Shem Meluce will launch his debut album titled
“Out of the Shadows” from 6 p.m.-
8:30 p.m.
The Laborie native has worked on his maiden
album for the past four (4) years and promises
that his 13 track CD is more than just a collection
of lyrics and music. Rather, it is a compilation
of his heart as it expresses his passion for
the young people and spreading the good news.
In a time such as this, where the crime rate
is on the rise, Shem Meluce desires to release
a positive message of Christ through the launch
of his CD. He believes that there is still
hope for the nation and that through his music;
people may find motivation, comfort and faith
in God.
Shem
Meluce’s passion and love for people
has led him to the schools, charity events
as well as prisons where he shared the gospel.
He has also ministered in St. Vincent, Grenada,
Trinidad & Tobago, British Virgin Islands,
Africa and England.

His
fervor has allowed him to share the stage
with some of the best in Gospel with the likes
of music heavyweights such as Lt. Stitchie,
Junior Tucker, DJ Nicholas, Evangelist Wendy
Mitchell, Jadee, Phil Tarver of Shekinah Glory,
Pastor Terrance Baynes, Emrand Henry and others.
For
the making of the album “Out of the
Shadows”, Shem Meluce teamed up with
St. Lucian producers Werner “Semi”
Francis and Patrice Regis of Fourya Studio,
Shomari Maxwell of Sweet Notes Studio, Christopher
Neil of The Den Studio and Marvin St. Ange
and Delan Joseph of True Vine Records. The
album, featuring Linda “Chocolate”
Berthier was mastered by Jamaican music producer
and engineer, Dale “Dizzle” Virgo.
The
Event will feature Gospel recording artiste
from St. Vincent, Fenton Harry and Rondell
Patterson and dancing duo Divinity of St.Lucia.
Shem Meluce will be backed up by his band
dubbed as United Brothers for Christ (UB4C).
The event will be a free one and CDs will
be on sale at a cost of $40.
