How
to Choose a School
There
is a lot to think about when choosing the
right school for you. Whether you are moving
m to a new school or just choosing a school
to start in, it is a big decision. How do
you know what option is best?
Class
Size: The number of children in each classroom
may make a difference in how much you are
able to learn.
School
Size: Some children do better in large schools
where they have many other children to play
with and many choices for classes. Others
like smaller schools, where there aren't as
many choices for classes and closer relationships
with students and teachers can be made.

Subject
Matter: Some schools are able to concentrate
on specific subject areas more than others,
such as sciences and arts.
Location:
The location of a school is important to some
students for reasons of safety, convenience,
and facilities.
Test
Scores: The highest test scores aren't always
guarantee that a school and its teachers are
good, but they do indicate that children at
the school learn more over time than children
at schools with lower test scores.
Diversity:
To some, it is important for a school to be
racially, ethnically, and culturally diverse
