Conversations -- Lidj Tafari

It’s
time for another edition of Homegrown Conversations.
In this weekend’s feature we invade
the Hip Hop world with one of Saint Lucia’s
prolific rappers Lidj Tafri. Yes, he is a
Rastaman and yes he is a rapper.
Hailing from Bagatelle in Marchand, Castries
St.Lucia, Lidj Tafari has served as both an
assistant stage manager and stage manager
in several drama productions. Armed with his
love of rap music and passion for the Hip-Hop
culture, Lidj Tafari has recorded such tracks
as “Real Love” featuring Christal
Valere and “Since I've Seen You”
featuring Francis Leebo De Lima and “Shak
That Thang.”

Lidj Tafari has showcased his skills on Guinness
Expressions of Greatness with Deadly D (The
Wave Radio), Guinness Undisputed, Lime Jazz
Show, and Word Alive International Literary
Arts Festival. As a rap poet and songwriter,
Lidj Tafari enjoys writing thought-provoking
lyrics and delivering his artistry to eager
audiences! His biggest influences include
TU PAC SHAKUR and the NOTORIOUS B.I.G
