Dear Helpline,

There's this guy I like and he's soooooo cute. I think he likes me too. We haven’t even spoken as yet but he's been smiling at me, making me smile back. When I see this guy talking to other girls it makes me feel jealous and I show my jealousy a lot and even he notices. What can I do? I feel so EMBARASSED. I just want to hide and never go to school again. HELP pleeeeeeeeeeeeease!

Dear Boo Hoo,

Well to be honest with you, you hardly have a problem; in fact as far as I am concerned things seem to be going pretty well for you. You have said that you met this marvelous guy who treats you so well, he makes you happy and treats your kids well, so indulge, be happy and stop worrying. Just be yourself and let things flow. Now, I understand why you may be fearful of losing this guy since you have lost other guys who presumably were close to you before. But once you did not do anything to push them away, then you should just relax. Besides they may have done you a favour by leaving and I dare say that in the long run it will be their loss. One of the things you can do however is to look back on some of your past relationships and see what could have pushed your ex boyfriends away, try to analyze the situation objectively and see what could have gone wrong. If it is something on your part then you should try to stop whatever you were doing wrong. If you were doing anything wrong at all. But regardless, the past is in the past.You generally need to focus on this relationship, have faith and just be at ease. Sometimes worrying about something can only magnify the problem. So just indulge, treat him right, be fair, committed, and just be there for him when he needs you. Moreover, just relax and be happy you deserve it.
