Searching for Answers

I looked though time
Searching for you
An effort played in vain
I looked to youth
Your heart to find
And love that you have slain
But time revealed
What youth knows not
That all love one day dies
But time forgot
That youth cares not
While floating though the skies
And so the conflict
Day by day
Was waged though all of space
And so it went
For time and youth
A never-ending race
But in their race
Their hearts have lost
The memory of their goal
For t'was their fate
That darkness came
And took over their soul
