"The
Most Common Sports Training Mistakes"
Before
using any sports training techniques you have
to recognize and correct some of the most
common mistakes you may be making.
Instead
of incorporating proper sports conditioning
training techniques the majority of athletes
will tend to pay too much attention to their
skill level. Most have a decent skill level
for their particular sport but they don't
realize that through proper fitness training
they can dramatically improve their skill
level and athletic performance.
Unfortunately,
if you're an athlete, by avoiding proper sports
training techniques you'll end up burnt out
and your skill level, over time will decrease.
Your motivation will decrease as well and
if you're not careful your sports career could
be over quickly.
You need sports conditioning training that
are new, that work in a different manner than
what your body is used to and is specific
to your sport. Sports training techniques
need to be able to work around your skills.
Your sports conditioning training will indirectly
enhance your skill level, if done properly.
The
next mistake you have to make sure you avoid
is using incorrect fitness training methods.
Many athletes are guilty of this due to the
fact that they tend to believe everything
they are told about sports conditioning training
and fitness training in general.
A lot of times other athletes in different
sports or even athletes in the same sport
but with a dramatically different skill level
will mention that a certain type of fitness
training works. Unfortunately, when the athlete
in question starts using these same sports
conditioning training techniques they end
up compromising their own potential.
These
problems can also be caused by well-meaning
coaches and athletic trainers who don't realize
that each athlete is different and it's vital
for each one to use sports training techniques
that are specific to skill level, ability,
genetics, etc.
Sports conditioning training that is specific
is like a match made in heaven. As an athlete
you'll start to greatly enhance needed strength
and flexibility, something you may have thought
was not possible due to limitations placed
on you by poor sports training techniques.
Another
result of using proper sports conditioning
training is that your balance and stability
will improve. But keep in mind that your sports
conditioning training has to be focused towards
your sport, your skill level, and your fitness
training experience.
