Know
your personality!
Are
you a good judge of character? Maybe you think
that you can judge someone's personality simply
by just looking at the face? Most
times when we talk about someone's personality,
we are talking about what makes that person
different from other people, or even unique.
This aspect of personality is called our individual
differences. The clothes that you wear, the
way you walk, your features, your body language,
your tone of voice, your hobbies and the music
that you prefer can reveal a lot about your
personality. Everything that is related to
someone reveals parts of his personality.
Personality is made up the characteristics,
feelings, and behaviours that make a person
unique.
The way you walk does not only reflect part
of your personality but it also reflects your
mood of the day. If you are happy and excited,
then you are going to have an energetic walk
and your walking speed becomes faster. When
people feel confident and courageous they
walk with wide steps. Some people walk slowly
and drag their feet behind them as if they
are weak or have no energy to move. The lack
of energy is usually linked with sad feelings
or with depression but it could also reflect
fear or the uncertainty about what is ahead.
On another hand, a cat walk is an indication
that the person is sending a message through
the walking style, which is “Look at
me, I’m hot!!” Walking with your
hands in your pocket may be an indication
that you are not satisfied with your self
image or with a current situation.
If your head is up whilst walking then this
could mean that you are experiencing a good
mood while pointing your head downwards while
walking could mean that you are feeling bad.No
two people are exactly the same, not even
identical twins. Some people are anxious,
some are risk-taking; some are confident,
some shy, etc. When you are speaking to someone
or in public you might be thinking, that you
are naturally shy and do not like to stand
out in a crowd and don't have an outgoing
personality. You must be willing to be more
expressive - smile, project your voice so
that everyone can hear you and so that you
sound confident. And, if you are naturally
outgoing, use that strength that you have
as you speak with your audience. If you naturally
use gestures as you speak such as use of hands,
movement of the body, keep on using them.
Most are effective when presenting to a group.
It's awkward when we try and hold back our
gestures that we end up looking unnatural
and stiff. Your personality has a lot to say
about you. When you walk, walk with your head
high, and also sit tall, no slouching. No
matter what people may say about you, smile.
Hold that smile for the world to see. If everyone
likes you, you have a problem, if everyone
dislikes you, you definitely have a problem.
You can’t always get everyone to like
you. So forget about them, always keep a good
personality of yourself. Your personality
determines, your life, whether you get the
job at the hotel or not, who you are going
to chose for your friends, all the way to
a soul mate.
