Shervon:
Nope, because we are still receiving
donations from the Taiwanese and Japanese
regardless of which political party is in
power. With the issue of crime, we as a
nation cannot even solve crime on our own;
we have to depend on foreign intervention/intelligence.
I mean if we were independent, I think we
would have our own resources to fix problems.
On a whole we still call on other countries,
seeking help most of the time, so I don't
think we are fully independent.
Calvin:
Well honestly the ministers are not taking
anything seriously apart from making their
bellies get bigger and bigger. St. Lucians
aren’t doing anything, if it is not
a Chinese or Taiwanese in their ears to
tell them. Or if is not a Chinese or Taiwanese
that tell them we need this here and that
there. Lucians don’t want to work
as one, a bunch of fight down. All they
good for is working hard for the Chinese
and/or Taiwanese for a little money. St.
Lucia can’t go anywhere. Cause we
not making use of our natural resources,
like we should be. That’s all I have
to say.
Denver:
Well we’re not doing well all on our
own. We are still getting help, I guess
it got to be that way but we still dependent
on others.
Mario:
Yes, I think we are a dependent nation because
if we were not and still under England we
would be more developed.
Joachim:
I would say an independent country is one
that can use up their own resources instead
that of another country. Wouldn’t
you? Well we are told we are but to me we
are not fully so.
