Marvin:
Age is just a number. A lot of
these kids think they know what’s
best for them but they don’t have
a clue what the real world’s like.
After all at that age you’re just
about leaving school and still a bit sheltered
by your parents. They may think they know
what’s best for them but when you
look at the choices they make, you see that
clearly they don’t.
Nathaniel:
You're never too old to learn and to a certain
extent an adult may have to sort of "front"
to be able to enforce certain behaviour
with kids. For example, adults curse but
when we are around kids we won't display
that behavior. I don't think it’s
adopting a role really, but behaving appropriately
in specific situations. You maybe a gambler
but you don't want to gamble in front of
your kids. I believe you just have to behave
appropriately. So we just have to try and
play the part in their presence less they
follow blindly the wrong examples.
Ginger:
I think at that age you have to allow the
kids to be themselves, and make their mistakes
on their own, so they can learn from them
and become stronger individuals. I never
was a mummy’s girl. I had a boyfriend
at the age of fourteen and got pregnant
at the age of sixteen. I never liked to
listen to my mom’s advice and somehow
I don’t regret it. She had me when
she was eighteen. Anyways, if I didn’t
choose my own path I would not know what
I know now. Life’s a bit hard but
my baby girl is worth it.
Shana:
You can avoid a lot of unnecessary drama
in your life if you just take the time to
listen to a little sensible advice from
people who are more experienced than you.
Take example from the people around you.
Even as a granny, I would still listen to
anyone giving me advice for my own good.
Most of these kids have to feel to learn.
I don’t want that for myself.
You've
heard what these people have to say. What
do u think? Post your opinion below!!
